ABOUT
For this university project, we were given the brief to create a photo book with the open theme “a place.” I chose to explore a location of contrasts—a space where old meets new, nature meets architecture, and shadows meet light —capturing the tension and harmony between these elements. The work involved both photography and the design of the book.

THE DESIGN
In the layout of the photo book, I focused on a minimalist design to let the photographs speak for themselves. Using a grid-based layout, I created dynamic spreads that guide the viewer through the location. The design choices were made to highlight the contrasts and evoke a sense of movement through the space. I balanced repetition and variation, using storytelling to invite the viewer’s own interpretation while guiding them through a carefully structured narrative.
