In the digital era, showcasing a company’s rich history while standing out can be a challenge. This was the premise of my graduation project, where I aimed to redesign the identity of Beito Aktiv, a ski school and outdoor company in Beitostølen, Norway.

ABOUT
Founded in 1965, Beito Aktiv needed a refreshed brand identity that honored its Norwegian heritage while appealing to a broader international audience. The challenge was to modernize the brand while highlighting its history and core values, making it distinct in a competitive market.

The redesign process involved several key phases:
Research: A deep analysis of the market and competitors to understand Beito Aktiv’s unique position and opportunities.
Concept Development: Drawing inspiration from Norwegian culture, analogue photography, and 1960s retro aesthetics to create visual concepts that balanced nostalgia with modern appeal.
Logo and Identity: Updating the original logo with a modern twist, incorporating retro design elements into a flexible and timeless identity that works across platforms.
Digital Focus: Creating comprehensive brand guidelines for digital platforms, ensuring the identity could adapt to various digital and physical applications.
RESULT
The rebranding of Beito Aktiv successfully blended its historic charm with a modern, cohesive identity. The new brand guidelines strengthen their digital presence and appeal to both local and international audiences, preserving the company’s heritage while enhancing its relevance in the contemporary market.
Beito Aktiv's color scheme draws inspiration from Norway's natural landscape, featuring earthy tones for a cohesive outdoor brand identity.
